This retreat was well developed, safe, and professionally run. I would highly recommend to friends and family. I loved the location, the people, and the size. Having people from similar backgrounds helped create a cohesive group and integrative experience. That concept is brilliant.

This was the single most meaningful experience of my life. I feel like I'm now the person I've always been but didn't realize it until now.

The experience can be very challenging and should be done in a controlled environment. I honestly don't know how I would have managed had I been on my own. Odyssey absolutely nailed everything.

I can confidently say it has been a pivotal turning point in my life. I find myself more in touch with my emotions, often moved to tears not by sadness, but by an overwhelming sense of happiness and gratitude. This heightened emotional awareness has brought a sense of lightness, a pervasive happiness that colors my daily life.

Odyssey’s experienced has changed my life. I’m now 5 weeks post-ceremony, and only can I tell a difference in my symptoms, but everyone around me can. My first week back, my therapist couldn’t believe the difference. For the first time in many years, I can take a shower with no assistance. This has easily given me back an hour of every day.

I’m so thankful for Odyssey and the experience they helped facilitate for me. It has helped me be a better father, husband, sibling and friend. Our group had a great dynamic. The psilocybin experience itself was emotive, positive, therapeutic. Truly a top class experience.

I was able to work with, feel and help heal major traumas in my life. I was also able to glean clarity in areas where I was unsure how to proceed or understand my true feelings. It helped strip away things that aren't truly important and remember what is...love, connection, compassion, family and my impact on the world. I gained a better understanding of habitual behaviors and regain an understanding of my true essence.

This was a transformative experience. Living my entire life by a set of 'rules' that weren’t congruent with my core self has created years of needless anxiety and distorted perceptions. Both Gabe and Aaron were incredibly easy to work with and allowed me the space where I felt entirely at ease to explore the depths of my consciousness.

It's difficult to put this experience into words; it was incredibly profound, instilling within me a sense of calm and understanding I had never before experienced. The ease with which I could objectively examine my life and values, and understand my core self, is impossible to overstate; this was truly the first step in a new chapter of my life.

It provided a number of deeply profound insights that have already begun to positively influence the way in which I am walking through the world. Aaron was experienced, warm and compassionate, aligned his approach to my needs and prepared me perfectly.

My psilocybin journey allowed me to truly see myself, to experience the connection I have with nature and people, and to give myself grace. We wanted our psilocybin journeys to be transformative and Odyssey's facilitators and program delivered. Odyssey is a professional organization who treats their clients with respect and dignity. Their facilitators are experienced, build a relationship with their clients and skillfully guide you through the preparation, journey and integration processes.

It was like my brain got a reset. 

The neural plasticity I read about in psilocybin studies resonated with my experience. In learning about others’ experiences, I believed mushrooms could be a multi-tool of sorts- able to work on trauma and consciousness expansion as well. This multifaceted ability of the medicine was also present in my journey.

By having this work be done transparently, safely, and legally, I felt especially safe with the process. I always felt safe to explore the limits of what my soul could discover through the vulnerable experience of working with mushrooms therapeutically for the first time.

This experience was life changing in so many ways. It's like giving your soul a chance to be reunited with your body amidst breath taking scenery in a loving, safe environment. I felt like all of the facilitators were highly trained, empathetic, ethical and wonderful listeners. It was well worth the time and financial investment. I may even say it was more affordable than it should have been after seeing all that went in to it.

I believe that it would be very important for someone to do eventually in their life and would recommend it to everybody. I was looking at other places internationally but chose to go to Odyssey because of the more modernized version of the experience without the more spiritual components. The experience highly exceeded my expectations!

Virtually impossible to find the words to adequately describe the experience. Out of this universe … beyond impactful … filled with powerful emotional meaning and healing. I felt very supported on my journey. JP knew that I wanted to have a deep experience and laid the groundwork for this well. It brought up a lot of emotions that I needed to process, and after my journey, I felt more grounded than I had in a long time. It helped me realize what is most important in my life in a very powerful, visceral way. I am so glad I took the time to do this for myself. I recommend this to anyone who is wanting to grow spiritually.

My Odyssey therapist was able to guide me safely through one of the most important experiences of my life. I loved experiencing the most difficult emotions of my childhood in a more direct manner. This experience has left me feeling much more "in the moment" in my daily life. I find myself often being moved to tears, not in a depressed sense, but in appreciation and gratitude for my life. I cannot think of anything that could have been done better.

My journey unlocked a deeply seated traumatic experience that I could never have accessed through traditional therapy. Although not pleasant, what I learned has already had life changing implications. As Aaron Donne, my facilitator, reflected, my journey was not what I wanted but what I needed. Odyssey is a safe and supportive environment that provides high quality, compassionate psilocybin journeys.

I can’t put a value on it, it was immeasurable. I would have done this years ago if I would have known the impact it had on me. Aaron was super knowledgeable and prepared me for the journey ahead. He was super available and wonderful the whole time. It was a joyful journey of pure peace. I felt so much love and acceptance of who I really am.

Much better healing experience than money spent on therapy. In a short period, I shed layers of grief that I was unable to deal with for 3 years after losing my son. Also feeling my power again was a relief as I understand my importance in my role as a human being.

It allowed me to release a lot of emotions that I've never fully let go of, which has provided immense relief. The emotions are still there, but they don't seem to have the same hold over me that they once did. All the facilitators were kind, understanding and very helpful. I did like that Paulo is a psychiatrist since I'm on some medications that could have influenced my experience, so having that piece of mind was nice. I loved the group setting. Connecting with people from all different backgrounds and realizing that we all have different yet sometimes similar things we're dealing with really brought me some comfort. The house we stayed in was also amazing and relaxing.

It's like I'm able to short circuit the negative thoughts spirals that have consumed me.  I'm able to more clearly observe and recognize my own emotions in the moment and acknowledge them for what they are. Brian Pilecki was easy to open up with.  He treated me with kindness when I was vulnerable and he provided me with the challenging intellectual conversations that I needed to have for growth.  I felt like there was a deep mutual respect as we worked together.  My life is better thanks to Brian's support.

My experience at Odyssey was deeply personal, physical, emotional, and spiritual. Self-reflection was intense and extremely meaningful. Every moment from arrival until departure felt like it was created and shaped for each one of us individually, despite being in a group. What I learned about myself over the course of a few days will continue to serve me throughout my life. Paulo was exceptional and I am so thankful that he was the one to lead our group. His compassion, understanding, and expertise were incredible. The fact that he reached out to me within a few days after the group concluded to see how I was doing was completely unexpected and appreciated! He recalled so many details I had shared, which showed how much he genuinely cared.  He is a gifted psychiatrist and facilitator.

This experience, from the moment I booked until the present moment, has significantly changed the trajectory of my life in a positive way. My hope from this experience was peace. I wanted to minimize the constant internal battle, thoughts, negative self-talk, etc. This experience took me on a journey of learning who I am and all the reasons I should love the person I have become. Additionally, each step of the process was meaningful, beneficial, and far exceeded anything I could have expected. The staff were some of the most amazing human beings I have ever met. It was evident they were truly called to this work. Each facilitator excelled in personal qualities. They were kind, empathetic, patient, and great active listeners. Their overall presence was consistently felt as lacking any and all judgement. Their warmth was truly felt from the time I met them and throughout our time together.

JP was a professional from start to finish. Our pre-trip calls were fun and thought-provoking and above all helped open a space for greater exploration. I was able to be more honest with my life and open than I thought possible during my special day. He took care of me, he took great notes and was very present for me when I needed him the most.

This was one of the most eye-opening experiences I have had. I don't know if there is any other route I could have gone that provided such clarity, perspective, confidence, and amibition the way this treatment has provided in such an efficient amount of time.

I feel sad that the person I was before this waited so long to do it. I feel 100 pounds lighter, like I've cast away a tremendous amount of negative mental energy that wasn't serving me. It has been one of the most profound, and certainly most rapid, positive changes in my life. JP was great. He's a very calm, non-judgmental, supportive presence. Throughout the prep sessions he  said many things that I found myself coming back to throughout the journey. Couldn't have asked for more.

The experience was profound, warm, and hope-inspiring. As someone with a number of psilocybin journeys under my belt, I found it refreshing and renewing to be able to experience psilocybin in a new way (2 back-to-back journey days) with the support of such a lovely & intimate group of facilitators and participants. The ratio of facilitators to participants was very good (3:5). I found all three of them to be very open, warm, trustworthy, and wise. I really enjoyed the meditations and group workshops they designed. They also made me feel very comfortable for the duration of my stay. I felt that, had I needed more support during my journey, they would have been very effective in supporting me that way.

When asked by an acquaintance if I found what I came for, my response was simple: “I got exactly what I came for—and more.” From the outset, my priority was finding a safe, legal psilocybin journey with a licensed facilitator, and Odyssey stood out for its emphasis on safety and support. From our first contact to the pre-journey preparations, the session itself, and post-journey integration, Odyssey exceeded every expectation. It was everything I had hoped for as a first-time journeyer and more. Reflecting back, the experience was one of the most profound and meaningful events of my life. Two months out, it’s clear to me that the changes I’ve experienced are not fleeting but lasting. The ever-present daily anxiety has nearly vanished. Life over the last two months has been a bit chaotic… yet, I was able to manage through it all without too much anxiety or insomnia. I also gradually stopped taking Lexapro and Trazodone (as a sleep aid) in the weeks leading up to my session and haven’t needed them since. I move through the world now with a lighter step, as if a weight has been lifted off my shoulders. I’ve rediscovered a sense of wonder in both new and everyday experiences. It’s as if I have a deeper appreciation for life itself, and being alive in the time that we’re in despite our increasingly divided and complex world. Interestingly, my heart rate variability (HRV) has shown significant improvement since my journey. Initially, I thought it might be a fluke, but the trend has persisted. While I feel as if my life is changed, I know it’s just the beginning of yet another journey, and I am looking forward to moving ahead with my intentions.

‘I was diagnosed with OCD 21 years ago. Since then I have tried so many different treatments and therapies that I have lost count. Over the years my symptoms have ebbed and flowed between pretty light and very disruptive to my life. I have been in weekly therapy for the past 5+ years and on a heavy SSRI dose.

Recently the symptoms were flaring up, becoming nearly unbearable at times. This pushed me back to the internet looking for more help. I found Odyssey. To say that was anything short of life changing would simply not be true. I worked with Gabe to find a facilitator and participate in a ceremony.

I’m 5 weeks post-ceremony writing this. Not only can I tell a difference in my symptoms, but everyone around me can. Immediately following the ceremony, I took my first normal shower and haven’t looked back. Previously, my shower ritual would take up to an hour and often require help from my wife. The night of my ceremony I took a 2 min shower with no assistance. I also feel compelled to take fewer showers during the day. This has easily given me back an hour of every day.

I also used to wipe my groceries off before putting them away. This too, was very time consuming. 2 weeks post-ceremony I put them away without cleaning them. And again I haven’t looked back. This has also given me back a significant amount of time every week.

There is no doubt that the benefits will continue to evolve. The ceremony has allowed me to do much more work within my talk therapy which has also contributed to the improvement of my symptoms. Before the ceremony, I had kind of stalled in my work there. My first week back, my therapist couldn’t believe the difference.
